2009 Harbor Lights Triathlon

You’re invited to join 1,500 triathletes on Waukegan’s north shore lakefront for the 8th annual Harbor Lights Triathlon on July 19, 2009. The race site is just 45 minutes from downtown Chicago and within easy reach via the expressway for triathletes from Chicagoland, Indiana & Wisconsin.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or new to the sport, the Harbor Lights Triathlon is made to order. The race starts and finishes in Waukegan’s beautiful lakefront park and includes:

  • 1/2-mile swim with a beach start and finish
  • A 13.2-mile bike on a closed and flat course with plenty of room for passing
  • A 4-mile run that includes a stretch down beautiful tree-lined Sheridan Road
  • And a race finish in the park with an awesome picnic, post race party & awards ceremony
